Global Equity Alpha — FCA clone warning

On 3 June 2019, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) warned about the unauthorised Global Equity Alpha clone, identifying www.globalequityalpha.com.

The fund reference belongs to a different entity

The FCA states that the operation has no association whatsoever with the recognised Global Equity Alpha sub-fund, FCA product reference 747383. Its notice says scammers were falsely claiming the genuine entity’s name and FCA number.

A product reference is not permission for a similarly named website to offer financial services. This report concerns the clone in the warning and keeps it separate from the recognised sub-fund. Individual losses and recovery outcomes require their own evidence.
